Jake Paul feeling small next to Ngannou and Ferreira—Is he out of his league in this arena?

Jake Paul usually talks a big game, but even he had to admit he was a bit freaked out during the face-off between Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira at the PFL Battle of the Giants press conference in DC on Thursday. The images from the face-off of the two titans with a comparatively tiny Jake Paul squished in the middle went viral on the internet.

‘The Problem Child’ is about to face the scariest heavyweight Mike Tyson on November 15th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. However, the intensity between Ngannou and Ferreira seemed overwhelming for the influencer-turned-professional boxer. After signing with the Professional Fighting League (PFL) in January 2023, Paul was tapped to host their face-off at the launch press conference. In an interview with TMZ Sports on Friday, he shared what it was like being the only barrier between these two “giants”.

Jake Paul would have just ran

During the interview, the reporter quickly brought up the face-off, noting how ‘The Problem Child’ was visibly in trouble when Ngannou and Ferreira started getting a little too close for comfort. In fact, once the duo finally separated, Paul’s complexion returned to normal as he breathed a sigh of relief.

And guess what? Paul’s words reflected exactly that, as he decided to keep it real. “It was definitely scary, man,” Paul admitted. What made it even scarier for him was the slim chance that Ngannou and Ferreira could have started the action right then and there. “If they had started fighting, I would have been screw*d,” Paul added.

Reflecting on the entire ordeal even further, ‘The Problem Child’ revealed what he would have done had the worst come to pass. “I honestly would have just ran, to be honest. But they are just giants,” Paul said, adding, “I’ve never felt so small in my life.” While Paul shared his experience standing between Ngannou and Ferreira, Ngannou shared his thoughts on Paul’s upcoming bout with his mentor and former trainer.

Francis Ngannou is confident about Mike Tyson’s abilities

Francis Ngannou has made a bold prediction for the highly anticipated fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, set for November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Despite Tyson’s advanced age of 58 and concerns from medical professionals about the health risks, Ngannou is confident that the boxing legend still has what it takes to defeat Paul, who is 31 years younger than Tyson.

“I think Tyson will still beat his a**,” Ngannou told the media confidently, during the event in Washington, DC. The former UFC heavyweight champion, who trained with Tyson ahead of his fight against Tyson Fury, highlighted Tyson’s still-sharp footwork, stating, “When he moves around and shows you something, I’m like, ‘What the hell is this?'”
