Floyd Mayweather is one of the most decorated boxers in the sport’s history. He achieved almost everything that was there in the ring. He made money, established a perfect 50-0 record, and defeated the likes of his biggest competitor, Manny Pacquiao, who was looked upon as the most desirable candidate to disappoint ‘The Best Ever.’
Until he faced the legendary southpaw, he was accused of ducking the latter, and when he fought and won the fight in 2015, another controversy emerged. Folks started saying that ‘The Pretty Boy’ intentionally took over the former eight-weight division champ late in his career.

Fed up with this accusation, Mayweather recently clarified it.
“Even like with uh Manny Pacquiao fight. You know everything is about timing and if it’s going to happen it’s going to happen and when it happened I’m glad that it happened. When it happened because it was worth it and financially it was worth it. So you know I turned a fight I turned a 50 million dollar fight to a 300 million dollar fight so it was I feel like it was worth it in my opinion yeah”, Mayweather said.
Years of back-and-forth between Pacman and Mayweather finally brought the biggest fight of the century to the fans in 2015. As per expectations, the slugfest remained competitive, and it was pretty hard for judges to decide the winner. Mayweather’s jab troubled Pacquiao a lot. Regardless of this, the latter caught the undefeated champ twice with his lethal hands.
But finally, Mayweather came out victorious.
