The Jake Paul vs Ben Askren fight merely began, and the former ended it in a flash to go 3-0 as a professional boxer. The highly anticipated eight-round matchup didn’t even enter the second round as Jake Paul dropped ‘Funky’ to the canvas. Although ‘Funky’ regained his vertical base, the referee waved off the contest.

So, Jake Paul has attained all his professional wins via first-round KOs and has a victory over a former MMA champion now. Coming into the fight, he predicted he would stop Askren within three rounds, and he lived up to his promise.

Jake Paul appeared delighted with his performance as he billed himself as a real fighter in the post-fight segment. The 24-year-old Paul has made similar claims in the past, but his win over a former UFC fighter might have just validated it.

Meanwhile, 36-year-old Ben Askren might fall into the clutch of criticism, as he has suffered three losses back-to-back in professional fights. Before going down to ‘The Problem Child’ he lost to Jorge Masvidal and Demian Maia in the UFC.

Jake Paul will now try to aim for the bigger names in the combat world, and Ben Askren might have to search for fresh ways to remain relevant in the fighting talks.
