Mike Tyson has had a taste of everything, be it a success or a fall from the top. The American fighter has fought battles inside and outside the ring, be it serving prison time, tumultuous married life, or going bankrupt. But he always bounced back, and that’s how the fans remember him. How does he feel looking back at his past?
Tyson, 58, is training for his coming fight with Jake Paul and is only weeks away from making his professional comeback. As he undergoes a grueling training regime, he had an imminent guess in one of his recent sessions to check on him and offer some words of wisdom—Gene Kilroy. Kilroy had managed Muhammad Ali, and he also closely saw ‘Iron Mike’s surge. Tyson, at 50-6, shared their interaction on his social media handles and went back and forth on how they saw life. But Kilroy also had a peculiar remark—the only one who ever beat Mike Tyson was Mike Tyson.
Just as soon as Kilroy made this comment, the former heavyweight champion interjected, “Yeah, the old bullsh-t,” suggesting his admission of the same. However, the famed manager didn’t take these comments lightly, as he continued, “Yeah, bullsh-t. You don’t want to hear it.” But Tyson corrected himself and revealed that he was aware of how his life had unfolded and where the fault lay.

The Brooklyn native added, “I don’t want to hear ’cause I know it. No one knows it better than me. I experienced it. Tell me something I don’t know. I know I f**ked up.”
However, Tyson has turned around his life in the recent couple of years with his podcast and widening business footprint. In addition, he has also fallen back in love with boxing as he now prepares to take down ‘Problem Child.’ It’s something that Kilroy noticed too, and after meeting Tyson, he was content with what he saw. That’s not it. He also believed the ‘Baddest Man On Planet’ was at his strongest.

Kilroy expressed his concerns about Tyson’s health and his decision to take the fight. But he was impressed with what he saw in the training and the heavyweight boxer’s physique. He declared, “This is the strongest I’ve ever seen you. The strongest I’ve ever, and I’ve known you since you were 13. This impressed the sh*t out of me. Nothing impresses me.”
“You know I’m going to tell you the truth; I don’t lie. I was worried about him. Traveling here, traveling there. I can sleep now at night. This is great,” Kilroy told Tyson. This might come as a relief to many fans, who have also been worried about Tyson’s health and ability to meet the demands of a professional fight.
