Salt Papi, the beloved British TikTok star rose to fame after he created the ‘Fake Run’ trend which went viral on social media. He started posting boxing videos in early 2022 and stepped into his first fight against Hamad Khan in the same year in March. Ever since then, he has had three fights. With 2 wins and 1 loss, Papi is on his way up. He is now going to fight another influencer Slim Albaher in the undercard of the KSI vs. Tommy Fury main event.

In a recent episode of Misfits Boxing’s new series, Papi has revealed how he started off and what helped him move forward in his boxing career.

Salt Papi’s personal growth journey

When presented with the opportunity to compete for Misfits Boxing, he decided to put in his best and started on a weight loss and fitness journey. The proof can be found on his social media which is full of multiple transformation photos and videos. The YouTuber lost 11 pounds for his debut bout. He has made tremendous progress as he weighed in at 180 pounds for his last fight against Anthony Taylor.

The internet sensation has lost about 30 pounds since when he started. In a recent interview with Misfits Boxing, he speaks about the obsession that got him here. “I just wanted to lose weight really. That’s how it started and from there, I saw progress, good progress and I just got obsessed. I wanted to keep losing weight, I wanted to be healthier. Now I’m here. I probably lost about 30 pounds altogether since I started boxing.” 

The emerging star is scheduled to fight against Slim Albaher at the 165-pound weight class. With a brand new chiseled body, this is a chance for Papi to come back to his winning ways after his last loss against Taylor. Fans are astonished by the transformation. To add a cherry on the cake, Papi has also hinted at stepping into the world of professional boxing. It remains to be seen if all that hard work, perseverance, and sweat will pay off on the night of October 14th.
