Tevin Farmer has been defying expectations with his latest performances. Yet, the result column only shows losses. 2X had another sensational outing against William Zepeda in their rematch from their controversial bout in September last year. And despite an even stronger showing, the loss was slightly wider this time.
Now riding on a three-fight losing streak, Farmer finds himself in a rough patch, and fans have grown concerned about his future in the ring. After all, with his 35th birthday approaching, he’s entering an age where boxing tends to be unforgiving. However, a heartfelt disclosure by Farmer, showing his unwavering grit, has sparked a wave of support for him as fans are wishing for a stronger comeback.

Tevin Farmer’s long-held secret revealed
On Monday, Tevin Farmer took to his ‘X’ to share a long-held secret, addressing the growing chatter about his noticeable tic. “I’ve kept this private for a long time but I see the concern and speculation about my tick. I have Tourette’s Syndrome,” he posted, putting an end to the speculations.
I’ve kept this private for a long time but I see the concern and speculation about my tick. I have Tourette’s Syndrome. I’ve dealt with it all my life. No neurological issues, so no need to worry. I’m still out here putting belt to a**! There you go, the rabbit’s out of the hat.

Farmer further added, “I’ve dealt with it all my life.” However, he was quick to ease the concerns, clarifying that the syndrome has no neurological threats to his life or boxing. “No neurological issues, so no need to worry,” he assured. Still, at 34, this revelation might spark doubts among promoters and managers regarding his durability, especially given boxing’s cruel mental demands and brutal physical nature. Right or wrong, it could add fuel to the talks of his downfall after recent losses.
However, Tevin Farmer dismissed any rumors of him hanging up the gloves with fire and promised a stronger comeback. “I’m still out here putting belt to a**! There you go, the rabbit’s out of the hat,” he declared.
That grit resonated deeply, igniting a surge of support from the boxing community who flooded him with love, standing firmly behind the ex-IBF super featherweight champ.
The boxing world has a new hero
Lou DiBella, the head of DiBella Entertainment, which has promoted Tevin Farmer alongside Matchroom since 2018, reacted warmly to the boxer’s revelation. “I’m happy that you are finally addressing this, little brother. For so many reasons, you are truly a role model for young fighters. 👏👏🥊,” he wrote. It seems DiBella was aware of the Philadelphian’s personal struggle with Tourette’s. Now, he is relieved to see him shed that weight.
