Deontay Wilder’s former trainer Mark Breland has finally broken his silence after being sacked by Wilder following his decision to throw the towel in the 7th round in the hugely anticipated rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
While many boxing fans believe that Breland’s decision to stop the fight could have saved Wilder’s career, the Bronze Bomber feels otherwise.
“Anyone who really knows me knows I wouldn’t go back and forth with anybody unless it’s in the ring! I’ve been boxing since I was eight years old.

“So I didn’t give a big portion of my life to the sport. I dedicated my entire life to this sport! But I have never seen the things I’m seeing now in all those years!” Breland said in a statement issued on social media.

Tyson Fury snapped Deontay Wilder off his winning streak when he stopped the Bronze Bomber in their battle for the heavyweight gold.
Soon after the loss, Wilder made use of the rematch clause; however, it seems like the trilogy bout won’t be taking place after all. Earlier, Fury had revealed that the contract binding him to a rematch had expired, and he is not legally bound to offer him the trilogy bout.
Deontay Wilder was subjected to a lot of flak following his last video on Twitter, where he made all these accusations. Wilder also rained down on Tyson Fury and claimed that the Gypsy King cheated in both the bouts.

Wilder also claimed that his camp spiked his water, along with numerous other excuses which lead to him losing the hugely anticipated rematch back in February this year. Wilder also called Breland, ‘disloyal’.

“But in the midst of it all, you still couldn’t keep this king down. You would have had to kill me. In the end, it took a c**p in a bucket referee and a disloyal trainer to throw the towel in just to stop me…
“Excuses may be found from a thief who steals because he is starved. If he is caught, he will have to pay back seven times what he stole, even if he has to sell everything in his house and payback is coming,” Wilder had said.
Meanwhile, Mark Breland has shown no interest in going back and forth with the former heavyweight champion. However, he denied any wrongdoing and has decided to speak no further.
