Mike Tyson knows the art of throwing a devastating punch in the ring and how to return a fierce comment outside of it. Jake Paul faced the brunt of the American boxer’s sizzling trash-talking when the two faced off against each other at the Arlington presser. What started as a banter soon turned into an uncomfortable exchange. What happened exactly?

‘Iron Mike’ and ‘The Problem Child’ had a rather friendly presser when they met in New York, but they brought animosity when they landed in Arlington. When asked about one thing that fans were not aware of about them, Paul disclosed that he wanted to “kiss Mike’s juicy lips.”

The 27-year-old boxer’s amusing confession alluded to Tyson’s original comments at the Canadian boxer Donovan ‘Razor’ Ruddock before their rematch in 1991. He had declared, “I’m gonna make you my girlfriend. I’m gonna make sure you kiss me good with those big lips.”

It wasn’t long after that Tyson responded and asked curiously, “He wanted to kiss me?” The former heavyweight champion continued, “That’s ironic because I saw the picture of him dancing at 16. Doing a little dance on YouTube, and for some reason, I had a er*ction.” After the Brooklyn native was done with his jibe, all Paul could do was pretend he didn’t listen to the jibe.

There were other moments from the press conference that also had the fans up on their toes as they listened to the heated exchange Tyson and Paul had. The 57-year-old didn’t let any opportunity slip by to mock his opponent for their July 20 clash. Not only did he question Paul’s resume, but he also ridiculed his physique.

Mike Tyson pokes fun at beefed-up Jake Paul

Paul has decided to add mass to his frame while preparing for the fight against Tyson. The 9-1 record holder currently weighs around 240 pounds and will look to cut it down to 230 before the fight. The size difference between the two was also apparent when they faced off in New York. However, Tyson remained unfazed as he called Paul “fat.”

The 50-6 record holder said, “I don’t know if he’s in his prime. He’s fat.” He pointed out that Paul should have been “lean and mean,” but instead he was “fat” and “funky.” He added, “I saw him with his shirt off the other day, he’s fat. Did you start training already?”

‘The Problem Child’ went on an eating spree post his last fight against Ryan Bourland in March. He has remained consistent with his training regime and is preparing for the most challenging bout of his career.

Notably, Paul has moved up from cruiserweight to heavyweight for his fight with Tyson and will look to make him the 10th victim of his professional career. Meanwhile, this will be Tyson’s first professional outing in close to two decades, as he last fought in a pro fight in 2005. It remains to be seen whether he can translate his sharp comments into sharp punches.
