Recently, in an interview with ‘The Schmo’, the undefeated lightweight targeted the champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis with bold remarks.
He said, “Well, I mean he has twice as many fights as me. You know, so obviously he’s a more popular fighter… I mean, like we just saw what the hell happened to f**king Canelo. I mean, I’m pretty sure I got way more to beat the sh*t out of Tank than Bivol had to beat the sh*t out of Canelo.”
Notably, in an epic clash between Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol, the Russian registered the biggest upset of the year, stunning audiences worldwide.
According to ‘Rolly,’ he is also going to pull one of the biggest upsets in the lightweight division.

He is all set to lock horns with ‘Tank’ Davis on May 28 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Earlier, they were most likely to match up on December 5 in Los Angeles, but Romero pulled out of the fight.

The hard hitter Romero is a former WBA interim lightweight champion. The 26-year-old has fought 14 bouts in his career and remains undefeated. He is 173cm tall and has a good reach advantage of 68inch. The Nevada-based boxer has finished 12 out of 14 wins by way of knockout. Whereas the opponent who is standing in his path is Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis. ‘Rolly’ has never met a warrior of the latter’s aura.
The 27-year-old is the WBA (Regular) lightweight champion. He is one of the biggest pay-per-view stars in the USA. The southpaw gun has held the WBA (Regular) super lightweight and the IBF super featherweight titles earlier. He has been to 26 fights and won 24 bouts by way of knockout.
