Heavyweight legend Mike Tyson has a phenomenal character arc. Apart from lacing gloves and outgunning opponents with impeccable defense in the ring, he fought several blistering bouts in his real life that brutally wounded him.

In one of the episodes of his own podcast, ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson’, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ had the most intensely emotional moment with one of the greatest of all times, Sugar Ray Leonard. ‘Kid Dynamite’ recalled his past and compared it with current Mike.

‘Iron Mike’ said, “That’s why I am so feared. That’s why they feared me when I was in the ring. Because I saw I was an annihilator. So I was born for and now those days are gone. It’s empty. I’m nothing. I’m working on feeling the art of humbleness.”
“Can you believe me? That’s the reason why I’m crying. I’m not that person no more and I miss him because sometimes? I feel like a b***h because I don’t want that person to come out. Because if he comes out, hell is coming with him and it’s not funny at all. It might sound cool, like I’m a tough guy. It’s just bad he thinks I’m.” – Tyson later added.

Notably, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ went all guns blazing on his opponents. Meanwhile, outside the ring, he is fighting his fears and feelings.

Mike Tyson had several setbacks in his life, which shaped the dimension of his journey
First, he lost his mother at a tender age, and three years later, the death of his trainer and renowned promoter Cus D’Amato totally tumbled him in his prime. Later, he dived into the ocean of distractions outside the ring that cut his prime terribly short. Before his first loss, he had an incredible record of 37-0.

However, the passing of his daughter Exodus in 2009 in an accident left a deep mark on him. He became shallow and never recovered from this. As of now, the most feared and ruthless champion has transformed into a gentle old fella that reflects the school of his experience in podcasts, media events, and interviews.
