Boxing legend Mike Tyson has recently stated that he no longer feels comfortable with fans tattooing his likeness on their bodies. The former heavyweight champion, who is known for his iconic facial tattoo, explained that he feels a sense of guilt and responsibility towards his fans who have permanently inked his face onto their skin.
Tyson is one of the most famous people on the planet with many fans and admirers. This naturally would lead many to pay respect to him by tattooing him on their bodies. However, according to ‘Iron’ Mike, he is not yet worthy of becoming ingrained in someone’s body forever.

In a recent episode of his podcast along with guest, rapper Wiz Khalifa and co-host DJ Whoo Kid, the trio was discussing the tattoos on their bodies. Khalifa revealed that he had multiple tattoos of many famous personalities including the iconic hip group Wu-Tang Clan. “I got Wu-Tang Dip Set, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Snoop Dogg,” he said. This prompted Whoo Kid to point out that people had ‘Iron’ Mike tattooed on their bodies as well.
However, the former champion claimed that he did not feel worthy of having himself tattooed on other people. “I don’t feel worthy of it,” said Tyson. Despite this, there are many who will argue the contrary.
In addition, his comments raised important questions about the power dynamics between celebrities and their fans. While it’s certainly flattering to have someone idolize you to the point of permanently inking your likeness on their body, it’s also a reminder of the tremendous influence that celebrities hold over their fans’ lives.
Tyson does the ‘kush up’ with Wiz Khalifa
In the podcast, Tyson participated in one of Khalifa’s iconic games, ‘The Kush Up’. The rules of the game are quite simple as two people smoke a joint continuously without exhaling the smoke. The name is a play on the exercise ‘push up’ and has been made quite popular by the rapper.
