Mayweather, during his time, competed in the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions, just like Stevenson. In many regards, the retired boxer was passing the knowledge from one generation to another. Jeff Mayweather draws a comparison between Stevenson and Floyd Mayweather
Jeff Mayweather is the uncle of the 50-0 boxer and also his manager. In an interview, while considering their defensive styles of fighting, he asserted that the 26-year-old closely resembles Mayweather. Stevenson is not a knockout artist but a boxer with precision and impeccable defence. On the other hand, Mayweather was also a boxer known for his defence more than anything else.
