The former super-middleweight champ, Billy Joe Saunders is a big story guy. The 32-year-old British boxer is out of the ring since he fought against the pound-for-pound king, Canelo Alvarez, in May 2021. It’s hard to rank this fight as the best fight of the year 2021, but the hype for this showdown was pretty intense. Canelo proved the biggest stumbling block of Saunders’ career. He knocked Saunders out in the 10th round and left him with a serious fracture around the eye.

After 8 months of a long recovery break, ‘Superb’ is keen to make his comeback. He made a strong claim on his potential opponent, Chris Eubank Jr. He said, “Do I think I can do the weight comfortably? It doesn’t matter if I can do it comfortably or not with him. I could do it half dead and still beat him.”

Notably, ‘Superb’ is a skilled technician in the middleweight division. Prior to the Canelo fight, he had never suffered a loss. However, he seems confident of outclassing the recent champ, Chris Eubank Jr.

Though the battle between Saunders and Eubank Jr is not confirmed as yet, it appears that ‘Next Gen’ is the most probable opponent.
Chris Eubank Jr settled scores against his intense rival Liam Williams
In the most-anticipated showdown of February 5, which took place at Motorpoint arena in Wales, ‘Next Gen‘ outgunned Liam Williams. With major titles at stake, it was a massive rivalry showdown of night.
Eubank Jr showcased sheer dominance amidst the jam-packed stadium. Spectator’s favorite ‘Next Gen’ won the fight via a unanimous decision. In the dramatic battle, Eubank Jr knocked down Williams four times. The first knockdown came in the 1st round with the lethal uppercut and then twice in the 4th round. Thereafter, for the 4th time, Williams was put to the canvas in the 11th round.

However, Williams recovered and fought back. But his warrior spirit could not change the perspective of the judges. Moreover, this was the best performance of Chris and if he continues to showcase the similar magic of his hands against the probable opponent, Billy Joe Saunders, then it is going to be a significant event.
