Wilder puts several rumors and speculations to rest by responding to the big question of their rematch. Wilder vs Fury 3 was looking to take place sometime in July. However, as a result of the current Coronavirus crisis, the fight has been delayed to take place sometime later this year.

“Get ready to go again (with Fury) some time at the end of the year. I can’t work out right now. That’s what I’m looking forward to once I get healed. I’m looking forward to working out and just doing the things I love to do.”- Deontay Wilder

The quarantine and time off of training have allowed Wilder to relax and have some fun with his family. However, The Bomber is confident that he will be fit to resume training and pick up sparring sometime around May.

Deontay Wilder Talks About His Loss to Tyson Fury

The fight in question is the first loss that Wilder has ever conceded in his professional career. Therefore, following the fight, the Bronze Bomber came up with a slew of excuses to explain his loss.

“There are a lot of things I don’t want to talk about at this point in time. I am still reflecting on things and I can’t believe what happened to me at that point in time in my career. Wilder now explains his loss better than he did soon after the fight. When he blamed the 40lbs costume that he wore during his walk-in for the loss, a notion that is rather laughable and bizarre.

“People who know boxing know that wasn’t Deontay Wilder that night, I was a zombie. It was a different fighter that night. From the first sound of the bell, it was like I was in retreat mode, I wasn’t really there. From the start, I wasn’t there, but everything is going to be alright.”- Deontay Wilder
