Mike Tyson stole the show at the Canelo vs Plant weigh-ins. The baddest man on the planet was in attendance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena ahead of the weigh-ins for the November 6 showdown. The historic showdown between Canelo and Plant will see the first-ever undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world.

Ahead of their highly awaited clash, FightHype.com caught up with the heavyweight as he sat in the crowd ahead of the weigh-ins. The interviewer asked ‘Iron’ Mike about his opinions of David Benavidez as a potential next fight for Canelo. “I think Benavidez is a great fighter and I would love to see him go against Canelo.”

“I want him to fight. See, a lot of people are great fighters, then they get in there with Canelo and they get intimidated. I hope that doesn’t happen with Benavidez. I call him the Mexican monster,” Tyson said. David Benavidez, the former two-time super-middleweight champ, has proved himself multiple times inside the ring.

Benavidez believes it is he who poses the biggest threat to Canelo Alvarez, and not Caleb Plant.“I definitely feel I’m the biggest threat because in order for a fighter to give a good fight to Canelo, he has to have the punching power to keep Canelo off of them and respect him,” Benavidez said while he spoke to DAZN News.

On his podcast, ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson’ Tyson predicted that Canelo Alvarez will ‘f***ing kill’ Caleb Plant on November 6. “Caleb Plant ain’t lasting the distance,” he told Badou Jack on his hotboxin podcast in July. “He’s going to get clocked. He’s going to get so f***** up. With two human beings, anything is possible, but I think this guy [Canelo] is going to f****** kill him.”

Caleb Plant strongly disagrees with Tyson’s statement and he feels like he will surprise everyone when he enters the ring against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on November 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada.
