After a long time of absence, former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua might return to the ring very soon. This morning, the popular boxing media house, IFL TV, shared the news on Twitter, much to the joy of fans. They also reported the name of the opponent and the time when the fight might take place. If everything works out as planned, Joshua will be taking on Australian boxer Demsey McKean next April. After a rather lackluster 2022, he is probably looking forward to starting the new year with this fight. However, it might be a worthy comeback for AJ if he could beat McKean. Although, fans have given mixed reactions to the post.

For the champion, recent times have not been so pleasant. AJ lost his last two matches to Ukrainian boxer, Oleksandr Usyk, and one to Andy Ruiz. The 33-year-old champion also made it to the news a few days ago after rumors about splitting with his main coach, Robert Garcia erupted. Previously he was reported to be moving to the US to receive training there. His career has been tumultuous recently due to these things.

No problem with this opponent at all. AJ needs an opponent that will help him rebuild his confidence.
The posturing about fighting the likes of Fury, Wilder or even Hrgovic next was just posturing.
Hopefully this gives him the preparation and confidence he needs to fight Whyte.

No it’s a load of shite, 2 fights outside Oz and a points win against bracamonte who got knocked out by Frazer Clarke in his 2nd ever pro bout.
May aswell just spar him and put it out live on Twitter.

That's the type of opponent he needs so good move. AJs confidence is at its lowest he needs to get some momentum and he needs to get that feeling back of knocking someone out.

I’m fine with a comeback fight. Coming off back to back losses. This guy better than Tom Schwartz so can’t hate
