IBF super-middleweight champion Caleb Plant desires to face Canelo Alvarez somewhere down the line, as Alvarez also dreams to unify the division by boasting of all the world titles resting on his shoulders. So it makes sense to pose them against each other.
Caleb Plant is unbeaten and has been inactive since his TKO win against Vincent Feigenbutz in February, whereas Canelo Alvarez ended his year-long hiatus by outpointing Callum Smith for the WBA, WBC and Ring super middleweight titles. This makes 2021 an appropriate year for the two to collide.

While Alvarez seemingly has more believers in his corner, Caleb Plant vows to show why he is a prodigy. The 28-year-old has bagged the top spot despite being just six years in the professional circuit. It is no surprise that he claims to be the best boxer.
Plant connected with PBC to talk about his ongoing boxing journey and revealed the secret to his success.
‘Sweet Hands’ said, “Thus far every time you guys have seen me step out, you have seen a better Caleb. I just keep getting better and better. It’s because you know in between fights, I am staying sharp, I am staying in the gym… I don’t have to worry about weight. I don’t have to worry about getting in shape. I can only worry about becoming better at what I do best, and that’s boxing.”

Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant- The ONE way or the other
Canelo Alvarez is a natural middleweight at 160 lbs but looks pretty comfortable at 168 lbs too. He is already the champion at 168, but several analysts tag that to be a bigger weight class for the Mexican superstar. However, Caleb Plant doesn’t agree. He wants to fight Alvarez and seems hungry for the matchup.

Plant said, “I think you ask any world champion in any division and they will tell you it’s not big enough for both of us (Alvarez and him). So at some point, we are gonna have to get this figured out. I know that’s a fight me and him (Alvarez) both want and at some point, me and Canelo are going to get in there and do our thing.”
