WBA regular lightweight champion Gervonta Davis gave his side of the story following his recent arrest ahead of his next fight. Davis was arrested in Broward County on Tuesday and charged with battery and domestic violence. However, he was released the next day after posting a $1000 bail.

Moreover, this news was enough to grab the attention of the boxing world, as fans and other personalities began to speculate the truth behind the matter. Now, ‘Tank’ has come out with his side of the story with a statement for the world.

Gervonta Davis tells his side of the story

In an Instagram post, Davis tried to prove his innocence and released a lengthy statement breaking his silence. He wrote that he was innocent and dismissed all the accusations and charges made against him.

 

“I never put hands on my child mother nor my fu***ng daughter are you fu****g crazy. I am not a monster.” he wrote. He then went on to add that he does not have a media or pr team behind him and was forced to release this statement to clear his own name.

I’ve been quiet too long. I don’t have a media team, public relations, a good lawyer… that’s the only reason I’m doing this now! Just to clear my name” he added

The case is still ongoing as details about this emerge every day. However, Davis now coming out with his side of the story does give fans more insight into the case.

The alleged victim called 911 for help

It was reported that the victim also called 911 where she can be heard pleading for help. The victim also claimed that Davis attacked her and her baby while she was in a car and that he was going to ‘kill’ her. “Please help me. I need help, please. I’m trying to get home. I have a baby in the car and he attacked me. He’s going to kill me.” she said

Daivs is currently in a very tough spot and will be involved in this case for the foreseeable future. However, he has not yet been proven guilty and the fans will get to know the truth as more details emerge.
