Though everyone is talking about the upcoming Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight, not everyone seems to be entirely on board with it. Since the fight was announced in early March, many have voiced their concerns about Tyson’s age and the age gap between the two fighters. In a similar situation, Shakur Stevenson has revealed his thoughts about the fight.
The much-talked-about clash is scheduled for 20 July at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas, home to the Dallas Cowboys. So, when Ellie Seckbach from ES News probed ‘Sugar’ Stevenson about the fight in an interview shared on social media today, even the Newark native, who claims to be a Jake Paul fan, couldn’t help but express his concerns about the former heavyweight champion.

Speaking to Seckbach, Stevenson reacted to the upcoming fight, claiming, “I don’t know, that’s going to be weird!” He further added, “I am a Jake Paul fan. Stevenson claimed that he understands why Tyson wants to fight, but being a Tyson fan, he can not bring himself to watch the fight. “I am not a supporter of that. I think Mike’s kinda older in his career… he wants to make some money, but I don’t want to see that. I don’t like seeing that, I am a big Mike Tyson fan too, so… I don’t [want to] watch that,” said Stevenson.
Meanwhile, Mike Tyson’s former opponent has revealed why Tyson can prove too much for Paul.

“When I boxed him, he still punched like Mike Tyson. If he hits anybody square on the chin it’s going to be problematic. I don’t care who it is. I like Jake Paul, he’s a good guy and he’s doing good with his boxing stuff,” said Jones Jr. Moreover, Jones suggested from a promotional standpoint, the fight would do good numbers, which means the fight would make both fighters a lot of money.
