Sorry, PBC and many others might have to wait this time. Rick Glaser had an altogether different update to share. The boxing matchmaker rather reflected on himself! He went back a year ago and shared the moment that might have caused him to fade away. The New York Boxing Hall of Fame (NYBHOF) inductee is fairly well known for his posts on X, especially his takes on the goings-on involving Al Haymon‘s PBC command a loyal following.
Citing a source, his recent tweet covered how Amazon Prime, with whom Al Haymon and his team had struck a deal last year, might work with another promoter to broadcast over a dozen boxing events planned for 2025. So considering what happened last year, Glaser wondered what might have occurred if the unthinkable had happened. In all probability, he might have been sharing all such news and reports, including an intriguing list, with everyone.
It appears the incident happened precisely a year ago, on October 8, 2023. “October 8, 2023, one year ago today, in Vegas at the New York New York Hotel-Casino, it’s a day I’ll never forget,” said Rick Glaser, further adding, “I almost lost my life.”

He revealed that his condition worsened to such an extent that he “completely collapsed.” As a result, he further hurt his head. He was taken to a hospital, and the stay lasted roughly eight days. “You never realize how short life is till it flashes in front of your eyes,” he contemplated.
He shared how it took him nearly ten weeks to recuperate. So turning back to followers, he teased, “Imagine if I had died; who would have put out Monday’s Top 15 Bad Guy’s in the #BoxingList! 😂” Needless to say, the post has been drawing considerable attention, with many sharing their thoughts with the boxing insider.
Before the anniversary of his narrow escape from death, Rick Glaser already took the opportunity to share his ‘Bad Guys’ list.

Here’s the rundown, folks!
Highlighting that the list containing fifteen names didn’t follow any particular order, Glaser quipped, “So many Bad Guy’s in #Boxing that this list had to be extended to 15. This list is done by a committee of 5.” The first name belonged to the former boxer and now head of Salita Promotions, Dmitriy Salita. Familiar names: Lou DiBella and Al Haymon’s names followed by matchmaker Roberto Diaz.
