Finally, a crown for ‘KingRy’. Yes, you heard it right. The boxing world used to watch ‘The Gypsy King’ donning a crown and wearing a regal robe. But now they will have a new sight to their eyes’ delight. A renowned luxury jewelry maker presented an ‘iced out’ crown to Ryan Garcia ahead of the fight with Devin Haney. The pricey item reportedly boasts gems and diamonds worth 400 carats.
Coming across the footage of Ryan Garcia receiving the crown, many fans seem surprised. After all, only the other day, the former interim lightweight champion lost $1.5 million in bets for not meeting the mandated weight at the weigh-ins. What’s more, he’s now out of title contention even if he wins. Now a gem-studded crown?
A parody account of Shannon Sharpe tweeted, “Ryan Garcia got an iced-out crown made for his fight with Devin Haney. Crown has 400ct of gem stones & diamonds.” The nearly minute-long video begins with the jeweler, who went by the name ‘The Ice Champ’, opening the box containing the crown in front of the young boxer. The latter just couldn’t believe his eyes. “Oh, my gosh,” he said, adding, “This is beautiful,” as he took the piece in his hands. He called it ‘amazing’ as he put it on his head. The jeweler remarked, “So the king put it on for the first time. The crown is one!…and it’s blessed.” Garcia also echoed, “It’s blessed now; God did.”

The next sequence showed a close-up of the crown. Garcia said, “This was a special project that we came together, and we formed it. We had the vision, and now it’s here…..the vision is here, and the vision is life; it’s reality. So if you got a dream you got a vision, you should go and chase it. Because, you know, great things come out of it. Trust in God, and you know…put your faith in him, and you could do all things you know….”
Of course, he didn’t forget Devin Haney. “This is just the beginning. When I knock out Devin Haney and it’s gonna’ be a special night, and this crown will be worn…”
Ryan Garcia: Fit for a King?
But the entire video seems to have confused fans and followers. Some didn’t hesitate to take potshots at the young boxer.
For instance, this user, perhaps making a veiled jab, appeared worried about how Ryan Garcia would walk inside the ring after wearing such a heavy crown.
That crown seems heavy you aren’t going to have any legs left when you get in the ring

But the next one straightaway asked about the kind of paycheck Garcia is receiving this time. He lost $1.5 million during the weigh-in fiasco, and now he has this crown, which must be around half a million dollars, the user guessed.
How much money does this dude have? He gave away 1.5 mil. This has to be 500k. What in the world is the payout for this fight?

Then this follower doesn’t seem to appreciate boxers wearing crowns, sitting on thrones, and walking around like kings.
Hate boxers wearing crowns, sitting on thrones and declaring themselves kings. What happened?

Then this user seems positive that Devin Haney will knock out Ryan Garcia, despite the latter coming in with a crown worth a million dollars.
He paid $1 million for that crown only to get knocked the fvck out

However, this fan hopes that after all the masterful promotional tactics he adopted, Ryan Garcia will win this fight without fail.

Perhaps the only thing that concerns fans at this stage is the final outcome of the fight. As the last user pointed out, never before have fans come across such a promotion done for a fight. For all the hype and hoopla, they expect to see a brilliant boxing match.

Whatever is said and done, there’s no point denying that Ryan Garcia lives life, the king size. Staying true to his moniker, ‘KingRy’, the boxer, despite all criticism, bashes on doing things the way he wants. Like the previous day, even if he missed the weight, the money, and the title (if he wins), he said, “Winners do what they have to do…”
