A year later, he notched up in a weight class to claim his current belt, i.e. the WBO welterweight title.

Crawford beat Ricky Burns via a UD to win his very first WBO lightweight title. Later in 2015, ‘Bud’ hammered Thomas Dulorme to win the vacant super-lightweight title. In 2017, the Nebraska native outclassed Julius Indongo to win the WBC, WBO, WBA, and IBF 140-pound titles.

Does Terence Crawford have more belts than Canelo Alvarez?

Alvarez, the p4p king, has held belts in super-welterweight, middleweight, super-middleweight, and light heavyweight divisions. On the other hand, Crawford has held belts across lightweight, super-lightweight, and welterweight rosters.
With this, it’s clear that there’s a world of a difference between the belts held by Canelo and the belts held by Crawford. But this doesn’t take away the hard work ‘Bud’ has put in over the course of his illustrious boxing stint.
