While it remains a fantasy, here’s a look at what Jermall Charlo has bagged in his stellar fight career so far.

Jermall Charlo- The Lion in the ring

The 31-year-old made his debut in 2008 against Cimmaron Davis, winning via a second-round knockout. Nevertheless, Charlo had to fight his way through several hurdles to attain the championship stature. A super welterweight contender then, Jermall Charlo kept adding wins to his resume from that point.

After a successful 21-0 ride, Charlo earned a world title shot in 2015 against Cornelius Bundrage. In what was the first big step of his career, ‘Hitman’ claimed the IBF 154 lbs belt with a sensational third-round knockout. He defended the strap three times, before making a move to the middleweight division.

Charlo was successful once again and became a two-division world champion in very little time. He beat Hugo Centeno Jr. and Matvey Korobov, winning and retaining the WBC (Interim) middleweight belt. After that, Charlo went towards the full strap by taking out Brandon Adams for the WBC belt in 2019. ‘Hitman’ has defended his belt three times since.

The 31-year-old will defend his belt for a fourth time this weekend. A win will help him be viable for a title shot immediately if he moves to 168. However, as boxing is unpredictable and dangerous, Charlo will have to constantly be on his toes, as one punch can derail his ambitions in a flash.
