Mike Tyson is rightly regarded as the greatest boxer of all time. After Muhammad Ali, boxing desperately needed a star who could stir the sport. That said, Tyson came into the limelight real quick and his journey to fame was no short of magic.

Tyson witnessed an immaculate rise in his boxing career, and his performances truly lured one and all. Also, film industries around the globe are focused on biopics for the past few years. That said, a story on Mike Tyson’s unusual yet exuberant life has to be portrayed by someone for all the reasons.

A couple of years back, it was reported that Jamie Foxx will play Mike Tyson’s role in a limited series. The Oscar-winning actor was perceived as a perfect man for the role, as he looked similar to ‘Iron’ Mike.

However, looks aren’t the only thing that’ll lure Tyson fans. That said, Foxx had to go through a terrific body transformation to look identical to Mike Tyson’s prime heavyweight size.

Foxx even posted pictures of when he began his body transformation for this role. The elite actor already had a massive frame. However, Tyson’s physique in the 1990s was too big with the tremendous weight of his muscles.

Foxx went through a transformation and he bulked up well in order to look like Tyson.

In 2020, Foxx was in an interview with Access. Here, he opened up about his body transformation and more.

He said, “The reason for the pull-ups is because when you look at the body of Mike Tyson, his back to his shape. It’s sort of like singular, one shape here, one shape is this.”

“Now we move on to a weighted pull up to where we put a 25-pound weight off, we do 20. Then we put a 45-pound weight on we do 10, 10, 10.”

“And then at the end, we burn out with that just so we can start to change the body style so that when you see it on camera, it mimics Mike’s body style,” he added.
