Back in 2021, the stage was adorned for a Caleb Plant vs. Canelo Alvarez fight. Although judges gave Plant the first round, Alvarez soon took control. He ruled the ring, trapped Plant, and fired strong combos. A left hook from Alvarez hurt Plant badly. In round 11, Alvarez floored Plant with a crushing left hook and two more heavy hits. This was the first knockdown Plant suffered in his career. Now, Canelo is now training for a crucial fight against Jermell Charlo. Both fighters have their “undisputed” titles on the line.

Plant recently shared his thoughts on how the fight might play out. According to him, ‘Cinnamon’ has a bag of tricks that will make the bout enjoyable. However, Plant’s and Canelo’s history together has had a couple of ugly moments. Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant had a violent press conference in the lead-up to their super middleweight unification fight. Moreover, Alvarez shoved Plant during the face-off. Alvarez said Plant’s derogatory language provoked him, taking it as an insult to his mother. In a recent interview, Canelo also admitted to cursing Plant with a swear word he didn’t understand.
