Is Ryan Garcia heading for disaster, or can he turn things around with the right support?

Despite claiming himself to be innocent, Ryan Garcia could not be saved after his B-sample tested positive for Ostarine. Consequently, besides his jaw-dropping victory against Devin Haney being mercilessly changed into a no-contest, Garcia’s team made a plea deal with the New York State Athletic Commission and accepted a one-year ban from boxing as well as more than a million dollars in fines. At the time of Garcia’s positive VADA tests, the boxer from California blasted Victor Conte, who worked with Haney as a nutritionist and performance adviser and was known for his closeness with VADA officials. However, Garcia has since changed his tune. The past few days have seen him posting many erratic messages on X, lashing out at people, and then going back on it. Now, Victor Conte fired back at ‘KingRy’!

In the wake of testing positive for a PED, ‘KingRy’ suspected Victor Conte’s association with VADA and Haney had something to do with his failed drug test. “This dude [Conte] that’s f***ing defending Devin Haney is the biggest cheater in sports history,” Garcia had said about Conte, who in the past served time in prison for allegedly distributing PEDs, something that he has denied since day one. Meanwhile, on the other hand, talking to ESPN, Conte hoped “the strict liability rule” would apply and Garcia would “be fined and suspended from boxing.”

As Conte, the founder of SNAC Nutrition, expected, besides facing a ban, Garcia had to forfeit the $1.2 million he made from the Haney fight. And now taking to X, jabbing Garcia, Conte opined ‘KingRy’ had “serious mental issues & needs intervention.” Conte continued!

He rapidly vasolates [meaning vacillate] from “I hate everyone” 2 “forgiveness wins”,” he added referring to two tweets Garcia made on 21st June, reacting to his suspension as well as his recent interaction with Zab Judah, whom he slammed earlier and then apologized to later in the day on a call. “Hopefully he can forgive himself & others. Ryan accepted the decision of NYSAC. A team/family intervention seems less likely than a trainwreck ahead,” Conte concluded.

Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn echoed Victor Conte saying Ryan Garcia needed help.

After Victor Conte, Eddie Hearn was also startled by the tweets Ryan Garcia has been posting of late. And just like Victor Conte, the promoter feels someone needs to “get hold of Ryan Garcia” before “something bad happens.” In his opinion, the entire situation with Garcia is a “car crash” and ‘KingRy’ “needs help” badly. “You may play these clips back when something bad happens. It’s just a car crash. He needs help. He needs help real bad [and] I hope he can get it,” Eddie Hearn told Fight Hub TV. But, as soon as Hearn’s comments came to Ryan’s notice, he was upset.

In his fiery response to Hearn, Garcia argued that Eddie Hearn rather needed help with Matchroom. “You judge me when the people you are defending are coming at me as well,” added Garcia, who is believed to be innocent by Dana White. Additionally, Garcia labeled Hearn as a hypocrite. With that said, what do you make of Victor Conte’s tweet on Ryan Garcia needing help?
