Jack Catterall and Josh Taylor are set to face each other for the second time inside the squared circle. The two fought one another back in February of last year. In their first clash, Catterall lost via a split decision. Post the bout, ‘El Gato,’ expressed his resentment over the match-up. However, come fight night, he has the opportunity to avenge his defeat, continue his reign, and become the undisputed champion.

However, certain comments did not sit well with Catterall. Ahead of the fight, the challenger revealed that Taylor had rubbed him the wrong way multiple times and did not respect him as a person. In addition, he wished that he never crossed paths with him, as the interaction would not have been pleasant, to say the least.
He stated, “It is personal, and he’s said a lot of derogatory things over the last year or two.” He added, “He’s not somebody that you’d want to go sit and have a cup of tea with and a catchup…. So hope I don’t bump into him any time soon.”
