On August 5th, Jake Paul and Nate Diaz are set to square off against each other. The back-and-forth between the two fighters has been going on since Diaz was part of the UFC. Although the first presser of this bout turned out to be very congenial, Paul will be coming with everything to Stockton Slugger. It’s important for him to win this bout to redeem himself in the sport of boxing. ‘The Problem Child’ is coming off his first career loss against Tommy Fury. And fighting Diaz is his way of redeeming his loss and his position in the game again. But as it turns out, Diaz doesn’t seem to be interested enough to engage with his opponent.

So, Paul expressed his concern that before the fight, Diaz was constantly poking the YouTuber-turned-boxer. But the moment it was finalized, the former UFC fighter adopted the role of a saint. He even called his opponent out for this behavior. More so, he also made a statement that provoked responses from a lot of fans as well. Nonetheless, Paul is still expecting a large crowd for his PPV on the night of August 5, and they’ve already sold out the American Airlines Center.

Before this, he sold approximately 830,000 PPVs with Tommy ‘TNT’. Now Diaz has a bigger personality than Fury, so as Paul said, “He [Nate Diaz] has more experience in this game. Has sold millions of PPVs throughout his career. So it could shock us all.” Jake Paul is all set to face him, and he tweeted about just “21 days” left and even shared a poster with ‘3 Weeks’ written on it in large fonts. So, Paul is waiting eagerly to step inside the ring with his opponent as soon as possible.

Fans show disappointment with the promos of Jake Paul and Nate Diaz

The fans don’t seem to be excited about the upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz. Many feel that the fight has been announced but has been forgotten by the organizers. It has been quite silent, mostly on Diaz’s end, and it’s never a great tactic to be dejected from everything, especially from the business point of view.

One of the fans, Yomammasbacon, stated that he isn’t invested that much in this fight. So the concern of the Influencer boxer could actually be quite valid.

Another fan, Yushie, put forth a similar opinion that he has lost interest in this bout. As it was announced way too early before the fight was to happen, and there weren’t even good promos that followed up the announcement.

One fan, Paul, stated that ‘The Problem Child’ needs to move on from fighting MMA fighters in a boxing match. Instead, the fan advises him to adhere to real boxers when it comes to fighting inside the ring.

A user, AlexLabelle, stated that the Youtuber-turned-boxer needs to redeem his boxing career by knocking out Nate Diaz.

So, many fans are either disinterested or believe that Paul will secure the victory. Mostly because of the lack of engagement from Diaz, people are leaning more toward the 26-year-old. Although Diaz’s name is fulfilled enough to pull numbers for the fight, it seems that the MVP will have a problem competing with their last event, against Tommy Fury. Well, it’ll be interesting to see how much people still want Paul to fight a retired MMA fighter. What are your thoughts about this? Let us know in the comments section.
