Misery continues to pile on Ryan Garcia. The American found himself in another legal trouble. On Saturday afternoon, Garcia was arrested for committing felony vandalism at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
TMZ Sports reported that ‘King Ry’ was escorted out of the lavish hotel by the cops in handcuffs and then put in a squad car. The reports suggested that Garcia had allegedly damaged the hotel’s property, which included his room and the hallway. Moreover, Garcia, 25, who could be under the influence of intoxicants, as suggested by the reports, cooperated with the authorities and didn’t offer resistance.

In the video shared by TMZ, a large helmet covered Garcia’s face and handcuffs restricted his hands. But the Victorville native’s large back tattoos gave him away. What’s more, it was not the first time that Garcia had caused trouble at the hotel. Reportedly, he put on some shenanigans, and hence, the hotel cut him off the alcohol. It seems the destruction of the property by Garcia, at 24-1, was the last straw that he pulled at the hotel, which led to his arrest.
This only adds to Garcia’s troubles, as he is already looking at a lengthy ban and a hefty fine for ingesting Ostarine. The lightweight boxer had tested positive for the banned substance for his fight against Devin Haney this April. Despite having his B-samples and hair samples tested, he has failed to shrug off the accusations. This latest incident also didn’t help his public image with the fans, who flooded the comments, expressing disappointment.
Fans blast ‘King Ry’ for crashing out
One fan pointed to a legal rule in California, where any damage of about $400 falls under a felony. They wondered whether such a rule did good for the citizens and asked them to set “their priorities straight.”

However, a fan sympathized with Garcia, as they came to know that Garcia’s mother had cancer. The 2021 interim lightweight champion had emotionally admitted that his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this month. He even stated the situation was rather grievous, asking for prayers. Following the instance, the fan wrote, “Omg..no…..his mom has cancer. Pray please.”

Lastly, someone believed the non-payment of PPV revenue to Garcia from the Haney fight was the reason behind his latest troubles. Garcia had asked Oscar De La Hoya for his payment, which was met with a harsh statement in return. They replied, “Guess he ran out of funds since they ain’t paid him for his last fight yet lol.”
