The rematch between Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr. has been reportedly postponed to July 1st, 2023. The duo first shared the ring in January and Smith won the fight via a technical knockout. In their first encounter, Chris Eubank Jr. suffered knockdowns for the first time and later called the experience “exciting“. While Eubank Jr. stated he enjoyed being dropped by Smith, he accused the referee of robbing him by not allowing him to continue in adversity.

On being asked about his views on the rematch, Eubank Jr. later informed that he liked the challenge of “fighting a man twice“. Anyway, the rematch was initially scheduled for the 17th of June, but under current circumstances, it has now been rescheduled for the 1st of July.

Anyway, after the postponement news hit Twitter, several fans reacted to it. According to one user, the bout will witness the same result as before. According to them, Eubank Jr. is just chasing paydays now.

Meanwhile, one found Smith “out of shape in [the] press conference“. “I was expecting him to delay [a] few more weeks to get in shape,” they added.
