The grandson of the notorious crime boss seems to have let go of his grudges against Floyd Mayweather Jr. The two clashed earlier this month in an exhibition fight which turned into a brawl after referee Kenny Bayless stopped the fight in the sixth round. John Gotti III did not appreciate the stoppage and ended up charging toward Mayweather Jr with the intention of hurting him. There have been a lot of rumors about the supposed “bad blood” between the two. But, amidst all the hearsay, it seems like Gotti III has moved forward and is planning something else with the former world champion.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani, the MMA star opened up about what he plans to do next. He also talked about his suspension and working towards lifting his six-month suspension sanction by the Florida Commission. The 31-year-old further hinted toward a potential rematch with Mayweather Jr. And gave the reason why it is a good time for a rematch.

While on the podcast, Gotti III established that there is no animosity from his side towards Mayweather Jr.He even retracted his “enemy for life” claim. And credited that to his anger and nothing more. He said, “I said he was my enemy for life out of anger, but he’s not my enemy.” It seems like Gotti III isn’t the one who likes making enemies.
He further revealed to Helwani that he is in “talks” with Floyd Mayweather Jr for something when asked about a potential rematch. Gotti also talked about the reason he believes it is a good time for the two to share the boxing ring again.“So we’ll see where it goes. From what I understood, after the fight, it was the most Googled thing in the whole world.” said Gotti III talking about the rematch.Mayweather Jr already has a potential opponent lined up.

Giving an incentive to Mayweather Jr, he added, “Floyd’s a businessman. Floyd wants to capitalize on that. He wants to make money. So if they want to do it again, I’m here.” But also, he made it clear that he won’t be going easy this time when it happens.“I’m going to come out guns blazing as soon as that bell rings, and we’re going to fight now.”Said the 31-year-old.
