The WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and the WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk are in serious talks for the undisputed heavyweight championship for months since the latter came out victorious in the rematch against the former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
The fight is a big talking point in the boxing world because it would be the first time since 1999 that the boxing’s most exciting weight division will get the undisputed champion. Back then Lennox Lewis, the British heavyweight legend defeated the American heavyweight great Evander Holyfield to capture the title.
But in the modern era, boxing is facing a lot of problems in making such big fights happen. The business aspect of the fight has become a roadblock for both Fury and Usyk.

Earlier it was looking like everything was sailing smoothly between the two. The duo were taking shots at each other and were determined to prove who is the modern great in the heavyweight division but suddenly the negotiations have been halted.
Now the fight is in jeopardy over purse distribution. Fury, widely considered as the biggest heavyweight star of the current generation wants a lion’s share of the fight purse. On the other hand, Usyk, who holds the most belts in the division did not want to countenance anything less than a half share.
Before this, the fight was facing a venue problem. Originally, it was going to take place in Saudi Arabia but recently Mike Coppinger of ESPN reported it will take place in London. Since the fight is taking place in Fury’s home country, so he is emphasizing more on taking a bigger share of the purse as spectators from his country will be in majority in the stands.
This is the reason why Usyk shared a post on Twitter calling out Fury. The comment section witnessed a lot of wrath from fans on the latter.

Fury is running – I bet he is stalling saying he wants 60% so he can run and fight someone hes already beat 3 times. Team Usyk should come out and say "We have signed 50/50 terms, but team Fury hasn't"

At first I thought 50/50 would be unfair at Wembley because Fury is the draw in his homeland. But Usyk can’t fight in his homeland, and I bet if he could fight in Ukraine, he’d get huge crowd. So come on Tyson, give him the 50%, maybe the rematch can be in Kyiv

I have nothing but respect for you, your an amazing champion and a role model. I feel however Tyson is too big, too strong and had an amazing skill set unlike most of the other heavyweights. For me @Tyson_Fury knocks you out

Though the fight is still not finalized due to negotiation issues, the promoters are prioritizing this fight by trying to find a way out of this issue. The talks are still on.
