It is an obvious Errol Spence Jr win for Jermell Charlo
In a snippet uploaded by Fighthype on their Youtube, Jermell Charlo was seen siding with his partner in training, Errol Spence Jr. As we inch closer to the big clash between ‘The Truth’ Spence Jr. against ‘Bud’ Crawford, the anticipation also seems to be getting deeper. Jermell shares this emotion.
In the video, the fighter can be seen saying, “He trains too hard to lose. He’s an overachiever. He’s the best in the game right now at 147.”
The Truth and ‘Iron Man’ Charlo come from the same training camp presided by Derrick James. The fighters are under immense pressure as three boxers from the same training camp enter the biggest fights this year.
Errol goes against Crawford this month. Soon, we will see Anthony Joshua go against Dillain Whyte, while Jermell Charlo will surprisingly fight against Canelo Alvarez.
While Charlo’s choice seems skewed in favor of his team, it is only with time will we see if his prediction comnes true.
Meanwhile, the predictions of his fight against Canelo Alvarez have also been made.
Terence Crawford sides with popular opinion
Jermell Charlo will be going up two weight classes to fight the legendary Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez for the super middleweight championship titles. The matchup is rather surprising. Most boxing enthusiasts presumed that Canelo would fight big brother, Jermall Charlo. But the latter excused himself citing personal reasons. Enter, little brother, Jermell Charlo. This interesting bout has gotten folks talking, Terence Crawford is also a part of this discussion.
When asked to predict the winner of this matchup, Bud went ahead by siding with Canelo. He said, “168 pounds? I ain’t going up there. Definitely [Canelo Wins]. If they’re fighting at 168 pounds, definitely.”

However, he also gave his two cents when asked if he would fight Jermell. He refused to move up the weight class. However, he said he surely would enter the ring if Iron Man came down to 154. Bud said once he is done with Jermell’s teammate Errol, he is coming for Charlo.
He said, “For some odd reason, once I moved up in weight and I started calling out Errol Spence, that’s his stablemate, he jumped in it. I’m like, ‘Dude, mind your business. Stay on the sidelines. You can be like Spence, my guy. When I beat him, I’m coming to see you.”
It is a massive month for Derrick James’ camp as these fights open avenues to newer opportunities if they win the bouts. Errol Spence Jr. will go against Terence Crawford on the 29th of July in Las Vegas, Nevada. Further, Jermell Charlo will fight against Canelo Alvarez on September 30th in Las Vegas too.
