Boxing’s golden boy Gervonta Davis is gearing up for his first headline bout against Leo Santa Cruz. Davis has had a rapid rise to the top and is set to headline his first-ever pay-per-view bout.
Davis is considered as the next big thing in boxing. He has displayed immense potential and talent over the past few years and is confident of reaching the very top. ‘The Tank’ hasn’t even faced Santa Cruz yet; however, he plans to fight Ryan Garcia and Vasiliy Lomachenko soon.
Garcia is a rising star and is one of the most famous personalities in boxing. There have been countless debates on who’s the better boxer between the two. However, the only way to find out is by matching them up in the ring.

Gervonta Davis believes Ryan Garcia has a lot of potential
“Ryan Garcia is picking up a good crowd. He’s like an Oscar De La Hoya coming up, not as big as Oscar, but he has a crowd. It’s good when you have somebody who has people behind him and you know where you’re trying to go, it’s good to bring that together.
“He’s a baby, but he’s got potential. He needs to work with Canelo’s team and trainer Eddy Reynoso a little more,” Davis said on the Last Stand podcast.

Should Davis get past Santa Cruz, it would perfectly set up a bout between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis. The tank has lofty ambitions of fighting Vasiliy Lomachenko if he gets past his other opponents.
“If we get past our guys that we got ahead of us, then Lomachenko and I can make it rock. I think it’s probably time. Definitely not this year. If not next year, then 2022. I believe at the beginning of 2022 we can make it happen.”
