The whole boxing world was in shock when Dmitry Bivol beat Canelo Alvarez via a unanimous decision in 2022. The Russian professional boxer stepped into the ring as an underdog. But he walked out as the winner against one of the best boxers in the world. It was not only the fans who were surprised by Bivol’s performance inside the ring. Alvarez was as surprised as any other person at the moment. And, since then he has been eager to get his redemption against the WBA light heavyweight champion. But ‘The Golden Boy’ seems to think otherwise about the fight. And did not hesitate to drop truth bombs on Alvarez.

Oscar De La Hoya remained brutally honest when asked about Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol. And it is safe to say he did not hold back from painting an accurate picture for everyone.

In an interview with FightHype, Golden Boy promoter La Hoya gave his true opinions about a potential Alvarez Vs. Bivol rematch. And he did not hesitate to deliver the truth for the reigning, undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world.

La Hoya said, “He’ll[ Canelo] never beat Bivol.” And he further went on to give a one-line reason for the same. And he credited it to the style of the Russian boxer. The promoter added, “Style makes fights win.” La Hoya got excited talking about the style and even told the reporter, “Trust me.” This is not the first time the promoter has been all praises about Bivol’s style.

A rematch between the two is yet to be finalized. But, it is safe to say that there is a good chance the boxing world will see these two go the distance again and see Alvarez try to redeem his name from the first loss to Bivol. Alvarez is a professional boxer who is not used to losing a boxing fight. The ‘Cinnamon’ has only lost two fights in his professional career. And his second loss came after 9 years after his first. His boxing resume speaks for itself. But, it seems like Alvarez is not resting till he fights Bivol fights again inside the ring.

And, according to Eddie Hearn, Alvarez can’t sleep well till he gets his revenge on the Russian boxer. Hearn further claimed that Alvarez isn’t afraid of fighting anyone.
