In the world of boxing, bold statements and predictions are nothing new. But when a respected figure like Frank Warren makes a claim about a rising prospect’s potential to defeat two established heavyweights in the same night, people tend to take notice. In a recent interview with IFL TV, Warren was shown a video of Anthony Joshua discussing potential opponents. When asked about facing Joshua, the rising prospect in question didn’t seem overly interested, instead expressing a stronger desire to face someone else.
But when Warren was asked for his thoughts on a hypothetical match-up between Joshua and this rising prospect, his response was shocking. Who is this rising prospect that Warren believes could defeat not one, but two established heavyweights on the same night?

In a recent interview, Anthony Joshua discussed potential opponents and expressed his interest in fighting Joe Joyce, who is also from the United Kingdom. In response, promoter Frank Warren spoke about how a fight between Joshua and Joyce could benefit both fighters. “When you look at that fight, it’s a great fight for him, you know why? It gives him an opportunity to get a position back in the rankings because Joe is the interim champion,” Warren said.

Warren also expressed his confidence in Joyce’s abilities, saying “I think he will beat him, I think he stops him. I really do think he’ll stop him.” When asked if Joyce could have knocked out Joshua in his recent fight against Jermaine Franklin, Warren didn’t hold back. “I think he’d have knocked both of them out,” he boldly stated.
This response from Warren was surprising, as many boxing experts still see Joshua as one of the top heavyweights in the sport. While Warren’s statement may seem far-fetched, Joyce does have an impressive record, with 15 wins and no losses, including 14 knockouts. In addition, his nickname, “The Juggernaut,” speaks to his formidable strength and power in the ring.
