Mike Tyson preached his moniker of being ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’, running through his opponents with vicious knockouts for several years. He was ruthless and was a problem for anyone he faced. However, Tyson claimed to have met a person, whom he believes is the most ruthless person on the planet earth.
Tyson shared a great relationship with Don King, his promoter, for many years. Under King’s shelter, Tyson became a global superstar and staged some of the biggest fights of his career. However, the relationship ended on a bad note after ‘Iron’ accused Don King of underpaying him for around $100 million. The matter was settled outside the court after King paid a portion of the amount to Mike Tyson.
However, the heavyweight legend had nothing praiseworthy to offer to his ex-promoter. In one of his interviews in the past, Tyson had ridiculed King.

Mike Tyson said, “I got caught with this other piece of sh** Don King, who’s a wretched. He’s just a wretched, slimy, reptily, motherf***.”

“This was supposed to be my brother, my black brother. But he is just a bad man, a real bad man. He abused you. He would kill his mother for a dollar.”
Mike Tyson and Don King are still relevant in the business
55-year-old Tyson staged his comeback in 2020 and took on Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition scrap. Meanwhile, Don King is back to promoting fights as he recently hosted WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu’s successful title defense in the USA. But the Tyson-King duo may never reunite.

King even threw some shade at Tyson when asked about their relationship in a recent interview.

He said, “He didn’t care about nothing else but the money. So he come to me and told me say every time I tell the truth you say nobody won’t listen because I’m saying something good about another black person and to all black people we all condemn, including me. And he says so, I want to be able to get the money.”

The pair have parted ways long back and are seemingly doing fine. However, history will always connect them, especially when they have given so many memorable moments to fans of the sport of boxing.
