Floyd Mayweather Jr. has had a great boxing career marked by his total dominance over the sport as he faced and defeated various top-level opponents. He managed to stay undefeated and retired with an impressive record of 50-0. His signature defensive skills made it very hard for his opponents to hit him. Moreover, Floyd’s ring IQ was very high and it allowed him to read his opponents perfectly. The question that has always remained in boxing fans’ minds is who can beat Floyd Mayweather?

Recently, Nate Jones, Mayweather’s aide was asked this question in a video. The video was uploaded on The Nate Jones Story channel, where he talked about a lot of different boxing-related topics. Nate shared his opinion on which fighter would be able to defeat the former five-division world champion.

Nate Jones reveals only boxer who could potentially defeat Floyd Mayweather

In the video, when asked to give his opinion on any boxer who could potentially hand a defeat to Floyd, Jones responded, “Nate Jones is the only person I think they’re gonna beat Floyd. I’ll beat him, I whooped him before. We’ve got videos, but he is not gonna ever show that no.” Despite this playful remark, Jones went on to name Aaron Pryor as the only boxer he believed could give Mayweather the most trouble.

Jones explained that Pryor’s relentless pressure and style would be the key to defeating Mayweather. He noted that he had firsthand experience sparring with Mayweather and knew how difficult it was to keep up the pressure on him. Jones believed that Pryor had the “fortitude” to do so. He said, “And I think that Aaron Pryor got the only style that would give Floyd the most problem. Aaron Pryor will give Floyd the worst night of his life.

However, Jones was not sure if Pryor would actually beat Mayweather, but he was confident that it would be an interesting and challenging fight. Jones expressed his belief that only he and Aaron Pryor had a chance of defeating Mayweather, but he ultimately thought that Pryor had the best style to give Mayweather a tough fight. He acknowledged that Mayweather was a formidable opponent and that defeating him would require immense skill.

Brazilian boxer and former UFC champion Jose Aldo announced that he is in talks for a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather. He’s even revealed that if the fight will happen, it’ll take place in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Aldo has just finished his match against his UFC nemesis Jeremy Stephens. It was a riveting contest with both fighters bringing out all their skills. The result was a majority draw which Also disputes. Nevertheless, Aldo is now free to focus on negotiations with Mayweather, so he could stand as his opponent in the next Mayweather exhibition fight.

The boxing match with Mayweather has reportedly been in the works for some time, and Aldo said that after his fight, they will sit down again to book the fight. Aldo recently retired from MMA to focus on his boxing career, having won his debut in February 2023.
