Renowned boxing analyst and former WBO welterweight champion, Tim Bradley Jr frequently garners attention with his insightful commentary on the sport and its athletes. Yet, the latest buzz surrounds Bradley himself, as a viral clip captures a heated exchange between him and Brian Norman Sr., the father and trainer of Brian Norman Jr.

Brian Norman Jr. went toe-to-toe with Giovani Santillan last month at Pechanga Arena, San Diego, producing a spectacular knockout win for Norman Jr in the ninth round of their twelve-round fight. However, before this bout transpired, the father and son duo appeared in an interview with YSM Sports Media, where they alleged Bradley is extremely biased in his commentary. So, when they came face-to-face later, things nearly came to blows.

Tim Bradley vs. Brian Norman Sr.: A crisis adverted

Yesterday, an X handle with the name ‘sour ave mel’ shared the clip in question, with the caption reading, “It looks like Tim Bradley was ready for all the smoke”, later adding, “That’s Brian Norman Jr standing right behind his pop’s”. Meanwhile, in the clip, Bradley and Norman Sr. can be seen arguing with each other over a yet-to-be-known subject. 

At one point, Bradley moves back, creating some space between them, which in hindsight may look as if he was about to do the unthinkable. However, nothing of the sort happened, avoiding a major controversy. While Norman Sr. seems to have some experience in the ring, Bradley is a completely different animal.

Throughout his illustrious career in the ring, Bradley has faced formidable opponents such as Manny Pacquiao, Jessie Vargas, and Brandon Rios, even securing a victory against Pacquiao in their initial bout. Given his impressive track record, it’s evident that an altercation with Bradley Jr. could have had unfavorable consequences for Norman Sr. Fans echoed this sentiment in the comment section, affirming Bradley’s prowess.

Fan demands respect for Tim Bradley 

People have heard Bradley rip apart boxers, but when they saw Bradley about to do the same to Norman Sr., they went ballistic in the comment section. As Bradley began to retreat, one user anticipated a heavy blow about to be unleashed, interpreting his backward movement as a precursor to a powerful punch, especially given Norman Sr.’s persistent provocation. However, it’s also possible that Bradley was just trying to maintain some distance from Norman, so he wouldn’t catch a stray punch. 

The next user reminded everyone that Tim Bradley was a world-champion boxer who fought several formidable opponents. In fact, it wouldn’t have been hard for Bradley to put anyone down within a minute or less. 

Someone else remarked that when Bradley posed the question, “What you gonna do?” during the altercation, they sensed an impending brawl. However, things like that are often said when adrenaline is coursing through the veins. 

Meanwhile, this user outright explained that Bradley would have beaten up Norman Sr. with ease. Yet, if he would have done that, Bradley would have landed himself in a well of trouble, too. 

Another user wisely noted that the instinct of a fighter never truly fades, asking for people to respect the former world champion. Bradley probably has the respect he deserves, but his opinions never stop clashing with that of others, producing such heated moments.
