The former UFC bigwig, Tyron Woodley, will confront the most debatable boxing star, Jake Paul next month. Ever since this contest got announced, it has sent shock waves in the fight world. This will be Woodley’s first professional boxing outing, and he’s already charged up and ready to roar inside the squared circle.

But competing in a full-fledged boxing bout was never in Woodley’s plans. However, Ben Askren, who also fought Jake Paul a few months back, wanted the ex-UFC welterweight king to battle out ‘The Problem Child’.

In a chat with Fight Hub TV, ‘The Chosen One’ put some light on the same. He said, “Shoutout to Ben (Askren). Ben was one of the first ones that brought this up after he lost. He said he wanted me to fight Jake.”

“I told Ben, if this fight happens, we’ll make a nice little donation to the Askren Wrestling Academy.”

The Askren vs Paul fight had fans expecting the former UFC star to smother Jake Paul with his experience and fight IQ. But to everyone’s surprise, ‘Funky’ fell prey to Paul’s demolishing power in round 1 itself.

With that win, ‘The Problem Child’ signified his boxing run and made himself one of the biggest household names of boxing. Also, after that fight, the YouTube boxing star wanted to challenge himself with an even better opponent. And as a result, he lined himself up for a boxing war against Tyron Woodley.
