Saudi Arabia’s Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, is currently gearing up to give another spectacular boxing event to the fans of the sport. Orchestrated by him, the first Riyadh Season event outside of Saudi Arabia will feature two-division undisputed champion Terence Crawford facing off WBA Super Welterweight champion Israil Madrimov on August 3rd in Los Angeles. The boxing world has been talking about the Saudi entertainment tycoon lately as he’s been behind some of the most extravagant boxing events of the modern era.

His Excellency has helped bring some of the biggest boxers in the world like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Oleksandr Usyk to the Kingdom for a showdown. His social media is full of pictures of him with some of the biggest athletes in the world. However, a recent social media post of his is less promotional and more philosophical in nature.

The sporting kingpin recently took to X and shared a post that has caught the attention of the internet community. His Excellency wrote, “Death is not the greatest loss in life … the greatest loss is what dies inside us while we are still alive…” A beautiful message indeed. However, the randomness of the post as well as the message contained within it perplexed many of his followers.

The post raised a lot of questions among netizens. Is he going through any personal struggle? Well, we don’t really know. However, the post has garnered comments like, “You OK”, while a few netizens also compared him to late rap artist Tupac Shakur. However, it could just be something he posted at random that captivated his imagination. In addition, he is keen on writing poetry as is mentioned in his X bio.

Apart from that, the Royal Advisor has been constantly planning some massive sporting events in his country. After orchestrating some magnanimous boxing events, he also organized the first UFC event in Saudi Arabia in June this year. That’s not all, though; he has even more unbelievable plans for the near future.

HE Turki Alalshikh plans a surprise for cinema and UFC fans 

The GEA Chairman also shared a post on Instagram with UFC president Dana White and renowned Hollywood filmmaker Zack Snyder which caused a stir online. He wrote in the caption, “With my friend @danawhite and the legendary Director @ZackSnyder and his wife the Producer Deborah Snyder and my dear friend Nick Khan…surprises on the way.”

This certainly gives the notion that HE is planning something huge, probably a film on the UFC. Why not? Could happen. Not too long ago, the Saudi advisor stated that he wanted to work with Zack Snyder on a UFC film analogous to ‘The Cinderella Man’.
