Jake Paul has expressed a new ambition: competing in the Olympics. Unhappy with the way Team USA Boxing’s campaign ended with a lone bronze medal from Omari Jones at the world’s biggest sporting event, ‘The Problem Child’ seems determined to aim higher. As the 33rd edition of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris draws to a close, the YouTuber-turned-boxer took the opportunity to meet some of the biggest names in sports.
In the latest, a snap of Jake Paul with Kylian Mbappe has been generating significant buzz. The image of these two prominent figures from different sports sparked a flurry of fan reactions. The Real Madrid star and France’s national soccer team captain couldn’t participate in the Olympics. Incidentally, the French team reached the finals only to lose gold to rival Spain.

“Young and hungry, no matter how much we eat,” quipped Jake Paul on his Twitter handle. Never far away from the news, the Ohioan joined Gervonta Davis as a mentor to the United States’ boxing squad. The trip to the ‘City of Love’ follows his latest win over bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry.

As much as it could actually be about food, the fact remains that ‘The Problem Child’ is hungry for more boxing glory. In November, he will enter the ring for the third time this year. He will face Mike Tyson. Their earlier scheduled bout had to be rescheduled following the boxing great’s medical issues.
As the latest news reveals, Paul wants to leave his imprint on the Olympic arena as well. He appears firm on bringing the boxing glory back to his country, which hasn’t won a gold medal in men’s boxing since 2004 and in women’s boxing since 2016.

Nevertheless, the picture has been witnessing fans lauding and jibing ‘The Problem Child’. Let’s check what a few of them had to say.
First, this fan had a compliment for Kylian Mbappe. According to them, the soccer superstar hasn’t acquired his renowned skills and athletic prowess from outside; rather, they are inherent abilities.
Dude on the left has natural talent.

A playful jab saw the next fan suggest that Mbappe’s sheer athleticism could outmatch Jake Paul’s skills in the ring.
I think he takes you out in 4 rounds

Talking about hunger, the following fan advised ‘The Problem Child’ to rather focus on strengthening his core. Since he would be facing Mike Tyson, he would as well prepare himself for those legendary body shots from one of history’s deadliest punchers.

The next fan also took a dig at Jake Paul. Picking up the frequent criticism against the Ohioan on the choice of his opponents, the fan lashed out; be it any area, Kylian Mbappe came out much better and more successful than Jake Paul, they stressed.
He's worth 3x what you're worth bro. He doesn't play against opponents twice his age.

However, among the crowd, this fan picked something positive from Paul’s message. Concurring with ‘The Problem Child’ the fan echoed that irrespective of the hurdles one might face, in the end, one has to be willing to keep striving for more. That is what keeping that inner self alive is all about.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) oversaw boxing in both Tokyo and the current edition in Paris. The move followed the split from the International Boxing Association (IBA). However, given that they appear unsure whether they would continue to take care of the sport in Los Angeles as well, this has put boxing’s future in the balance. Nevertheless, both fans and Jake Paul shouldn’t lose hope—there’s always a silver lining.
What is your take on the reactions? Who do you feel ‘The Problem Child’ should go against after Mike Tyson?
