Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney locked horns on April 20 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, in one of the most thrilling nights in boxing this year. ‘KingRy’ knocked down Haney thrice throughout the bout and eventually was announced the winner through a majority decision. Although it has been weeks since the fight, it is still a hot topic as Garcia has been under the lens for allegedly using performance-enhancing drugs after both his A and B samples returned positive for Ostarine, a banned substance. Since his positive results came to light, Haney has been hitting out at Garcia on a constant basis. Is Garcia willing to take it? No chance.

Garcia slapped back at Haney with a recent X thread. A user on social media platform X recently shared a picture of Haney from the fight. In the photo, there are wet spots on Haney’s trunks which caught the attention of some Ryan Garcia fans. One of whom reposted the image. So what did Garcia say?

An X user posted an enlarged picture of Haney’s trunks that had visible wet spots on it and tagged Ryan Garcia. In the post, the fan wrote, “You made dude sh*t his pants during the fight he had lil wet sh*t stains after you dropped him.” That was all the ammo Garcia needed. Garcia took this opportunity to troll Haney and wrote, “Nah that’s crazy He sh*t his pants.”

People continued to comment on the picture in this thread, saying all kinds of things. But those stains aren’t what people have assumed; they’re just sweat stains. Haney’s attire, including his shoes, had been criticized after his loss to Garcia. Many thought those could have played a role in the former undisputed lightweight champion’s loss. Nevertheless, Ryan Garcia won the fight. Or did he not?

Unless he can prove his innocence, there is a very real chance that the fight might be overturned as a no-contest. However, Garcia’s legal team is trying its best to prove the boxer’s innocence. And, this saga has taken a new turn as his team released a new statement.

Garcia’s legal team recently claimed that the new test results show that the boxer has not intentionally consumed the PEDs. He has maintained his innocence throughout, saying he never intentionally did anything that can be considered illegal. And now his camp says that two supplements that Garcia was taking are responsible for the boxer’s positive VADA results.

The released statement from the fighter’s legal team read, “The test results from samples of two supplements declared by Ryan Garcia on VADA Doping Control Forms, signed on April 19th and 20th, have returned positive for Ostarine contamination. This confirms what we have consistently maintained: Ryan was a victim of supplement contamination and has never intentionally used any banned or performance-enhancing substances. Any claims to the contrary, questioning Ryan’s integrity as a clean fighter, are unequivocally false and defamatory.”

Now the only respite remaining for Ryan Garcia is a hair test. The investigation remains ongoing, with no official penalties imposed yet. This uncertainty clouds Garcia’s future, leaving fans to wonder what consequences, if any, he might face. What do you think will happen next? Tell us in the comments below.
