Derek Chisora has finally responded to Dillian Whyte’s itchy comments about his recent loss against Oleksandr Usyk in a 12-round main-event clash.
While Chisora went the distance for all the 12 rounds, it wasn’t enough to bag the victory. He lost the fight to Usyk via unanimous decision, and fellow heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte has outlined a specific reason to justify the defeat.
‘The Body Snatcher’ believes that Chisora was lacking enough experience in his corner, and if not for his MMA-based coach, Whyte feels that Chisora could have won the battle.

However, ‘War’ Chisora doesn’t believe the same. Instead, he feels that the cornerman and coach have got nothing to do with the fight outcome. That said, he has responded to Whyte and has advised him to concentrate solely on his rematch against Alexander Povetkin.
Derek Chisora has lashed at Dillian Whyte
During a recent interaction with the IFL TV, Chisora was asked to react to Whyte’s comments. However, he didn’t abuse his fellow Briton heavyweight.
In response, Chisora said, “Dilian has got his own opinion. You know, he got knocked out in the fifth round. You know he had all the experience in his corner but he still got knocked out, still got laid out.”

He added, “Everybody has got their own opinions to understand, even when you have got the best trainers in the corner. Lennox Lewis had the best coach in the corner. He got knocked out by Rahman, you know, doesn’t matter.”
Meanwhile, Chisora also advised Dillian Whyte to aim at his upcoming contest against Povetkin. Since the first fight ended with Whyte hitting the canvas, there’s no denying that Chisora has a point.
‘War’ said, “He is Dillian, Dillian has got something to say to trying to sell his fight with Povetkin but it is what it is he should be worried about fighting Povetkin right now, not worry about what other people are doing.”
