The super-middleweight boxing sensation, Edgar Berlanga, will fight out Ulises Sierra on December 12th at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas. ‘The Chosen One’ will enter the Boxing ring to secure his 16th pro-Boxing win and make his roadway ahead in the super middleweight roster.

Ahead of this bout, Berlanga talked about his approach to this fight, Mike Tyson’s performance against Roy Jones Jr., and how he looks to improve his Boxing resume.

Replying to a question on Mike Tyson’s run at the exhibition fight, Edgar said:

He was amazing, man. Listen, nobody, nobody don’t understand the sport, how tough it is, and this dude was almost close to 200 pounds. He chopped all of that weight.

“You know he sacrificed himself he sacrificed his body stepped in the ring while other guys and probably tougher guys you know young heavyweights and partly was putting in on him for him to come back from all these adversities that he had in his life.

“I step in the ring again and give everybody a show. Listen, man, they sold over a million and I’ve seen pay-per-view buys. And it was just amazing for the sport, it’s entertaining, you know, it was very entertaining. Shout out to Mike Tyson, man,” he concluded.

‘The Chosen One’ lauded Mike Tyson for his show against Roy Jones Jr. He believed Tyson was just amazing inside the ring that night. Even after much adversities, controversies, and pressure on him prior to this fight, he excelled and inspired everyone watching that fight.

Though the exhibition fight ended in a draw, millions of combat sports fans felt that the ‘Iron Mike Tyson’ was the clear winner of that fight.

Mike Tyson inspires Edgar Berlanga

‘Iron Mike’ was the most talked-about fighter on the planet. He cemented himself as the best heavyweight in the ’80-’90s. Tyson was the most daunting knockout artist of the sport, dispatching opponents with just one right hand.

There’s a never-ending list of fighters who were inspired by Tyson, including today’s boxing stalwarts like Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Edgar Berlanga, and many more.

Berlanga seems to be on his way to be the Mike Tyson of middleweights. He has expressed his esteem several times for the former heavyweight king and wishes to be a ‘KO’ artist like him. Berlanga is 15-0 in his career. He has knocked all his opponents out inside Round 1.

Entering the ring on December 12th, ‘The Chosen One’ will look to terrify Ulises Sierra to continue his intimidating run at the super middleweight.
