Ahead of his rematch with Deontay Wilder, it was announced that Fury had suffered an injury. Reports claimed that Fury had injured both his feet during the training camp. Surprisingly, Fury himself backed these reports.
However, It did not matter whether the “Gypsy King” was injured or not, as he put an absolute clinic on Wilder. The Brit schooled “The Bronze Bomber” and forced a corner stoppage in the seventh round.

“He feigned injury or pretended to limp a little bit after the sparring session just to see what would happen,” Lee said.

“One day he pretended to have a bicep injury, he pretended to shake out his hand after training. And I was really concerned. He was like, ‘Did you see what I did there? I was just messing around’ ”.

Fury will face off against Deontay Wilder for the third time. If he can retain his WBC title in that match, he will probably fight Anthony Joshua in a title unification bout. However, as of now, Fury vs Joshua is a distant reality.
Like Fury, Joshua must first defeat IBF mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev. Moreover, WBC mandatory Dillian Whyte is demanding his shot at Fury as well. Whyte went as far as filing a lawsuit against the governing body.
