Chris Eubank Jr. landed himself in quite a bit of trouble after he went on a rant on Wednesday during the press conference for the upcoming Dmitry Bivol vs. Artur Beterbiev event at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The former IBO super middleweight champion attacked three promoters, including Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren, and Kalle Sauerland.
Eubank Jr. is slated to make his highly anticipated return to boxing against Kamil Szeremeta for the IBO middleweight title, having recently signed with Ben Shalom’s BOXXER. Interestingly, his recent contract signing with the promoter seems to have kicked off his rant against Warren, Hearn, and Sauerland, where Eubank Jr. labeled them “scumbags.”
During the press conference, the 33-3 boxer was asked about his new contract with BOXXER when he went off. “Why BOXXER? Because every other promoter out here is a scumbag,” Eubank began. Addressing Warren directly, the 35-year-old claimed Warren “has been lying and cheating his way through boxing” for the last two decades.

He further highlighted that Warren had sued him a few years ago for a couple of hundred thousand, so “obviously I’d never go with him. Scumbag.” While Warren tried to interject during this rant, Eubank continued speaking over him—talking about his former promoter, Sauerland. “Kalle Sauerland, [Wasserman Boxing promoter] kept me in a terrible contract for several years. Scumbag.”
Turning to Eddie Hearn, Eubank wasn’t happy the head of Matchroom had tried to put together a fight between him and Conor Benn, who failed a drug test in 2022 ahead of a scheduled fight against Eubank Jr. “Eddie Hearn and Frank Smith tried everything they could to make this Conor Benn fight…”
Eubank then went on to claim that His Excellency Turki Alalshikh was the only respectable man in the bunch who was not out to make a buck at the fighter’s expense. “So yes – scumbags. The only one who isn’t is [Saudi boxing chief] Turki Alalshikh,” he said. An agitated Warren didn’t immediately fire back at Eubank Jr. for the comments, but that would come soon.

Warren later joined Andy Goldstein of talkSport for an interview, where he revealed that the speakers were facing the opposite direction and he was sitting behind Eubank, so he could not hear most of what Eubank had said. However, the Queensberry head said, “He was sued by me for a legal breach of a contract and I was successful in suing him and he paid substantial damages.”
Warren then added, “He’s gonna get sued again for the comments that he’s made publicly.” The British promoter was then asked why Eubank accused him of “lying and cheating” for the last two decades. To this, Warren responded, claiming, “I’ve got no idea. I can’t really see into an idiot’s mind.”
