Gervonta Davis amazed the boxing fraternity after he knocked out Rolando Romero in his last fight. In the same vein, Ryan Garcia described why ‘Rolly’ lost to Davis with his greediness.

Ryan Garcia shared his views on the highly anticipated fight of May 28 with FightHype. He said, “Really he (Rolando Romero) wasn’t losing I don’t care what anybody could debate me on that.”

“Rolly was controlling the distance. He f**king was, cracking him some good shots. He just got greedy that’s it, he just got greedy, that’s all it was,” Garcia added further.

According to Garcia, if ‘Rolly’ didn’t go greedy, he could have won the bout against Gervonta Davis.

When Ryan Garcia and Rolando Romero faced in the ring

Back in time, Ryan Garcia and Rolando Romero went under trial for getting selected for Mayweather promotions. Both the fighters indulged in a sparring session where they displayed some excellent skills. 

After the exchange of some skillful punches, Mayweather’s promotions selected Romero as the next prodigy of their promotions, as he impressed them with his skills. 

The Next fight for ‘King Ry’

After defeating Emmanuel Tagoe on April 9, Ryan Garcia marked the 22nd victory of his career. Now, The IBO lightweight champion, Maxi Hughes, revealed the next opponent for Garcia.

‘Maximus’ showed the message that Garcia sent him as a challenge for the upcoming fight. Hughes stated that Garcia sent a similar message to Javier Fortuna, and both have agreed to the terms.

According to Hughes’s statement, Garcia will mostly cancel his scheduled fight against Isaac Cruz for some reason and he will look forward to another opponent in his fight.

Well, there is a bit of confusion for the fans regarding who will face Ryan Garcia in his next fight. But, it will be interesting to see Garcia back in action on July 16, when he aims for his 23rd victory.
