When ‘Bronze Bomber’ ruled the heavyweight division before facing Tyson Fury
Deontay Wilder was undefeated before he faced Fury in the ring. In his first 43 fights, he won 41 of them with knockouts and only one by decision, his one draw coming in his first fight against Fury.
Wilder’s KO ability made him of one the most brutal boxers in his division. But later on, when he fought Fury, he lost his winning streak as the first fight resulted in a draw.
Later on, Wilder went on to lose two consecutive fights against Fury which were the last two fights of his career.

Apart from Wilder’s return, Mauricio Sulaimán also opened up about the probable contenders who will face Wilder for the title match.
In the same interview, he discussed the tournament structure, which will be followed for the vacant WBC heavyweight title.
Mauricio Sulaimán said, “We have one year to have the next mandatory fight. At this moment, we will wait for the decision of Tyson Fury, and then we will either do a series of fights – a boxing tournament – going into a final elimination. But at this time we’re going to wait because we don’t know the specific circumstances.”
He added, “I believe that Joyce and Parker are fighting for the WBO interim championship, but I have not confirmed that. All the variables may change.”
