“He Can’t Even Read”: Fans Laud Dana White as UFC Boss Calls Floyd Mayweather a ‘Racist’ and ‘Knucklehead’ in a Resurfaced Video

An old video of UFC president Dana White criticizing the former undefeated welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather on Fuel TV’s UFC Tonight has resurfaced once again on social media. In the video, White addressed Mayweather’s controversial remarks about New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin. He also shared his views on the mega-fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. White stated, “Floyd, you’re racist with the stuff that you’ve said.” White accused Mayweather of making racially insensitive comments about Lin.

Mayweather had suggested that Lin received praise solely because he was an Asian NBA player. However, White pointed out that he was overlooking successful African-American athletes, such as Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. White added, “You say that African Americans don’t get it? Really, Kobe Bryant doesn’t get any praise? Michael Jordan never got any praise?” He also called Mayweather a “knucklehead” for making such remarks. Not only that, but he also brought up Mayweather’s comment telling Manny Pacquiao to “make sushi somewhere.” White educated ‘Money’ that sushi is from Japan and ‘PacMan’ is from the Philippines.

Even though the situation took place long ago back in 2012, the impact of the words of the UFC president still remains. Fans couldn’t help but be impressed at how Dana White called out Mayweather on his comments. One fan shared his admiration for White’s no-nonsense approach to Mayweather’s remarks. The fan praised White as he wrote, “Dana callin people out is so satisfying sometimes.”

Another fan brought up a joke 50 Cent made on Mayweather back when they were in a beef. They wrote, “Why Floyd talking sh*t? He can’t even read one full page of a Harry Potter book.” Meanwhile, a fan noted, “Dana doesn’t get enough credit for how much BS he clears the air on LIVE TV. So dope, love his character.”

Some fans were quick to point out the irony. A fan took the chance to make fun of Mayweather again. He wrote, “Floyd would be really mad if he understood what he was saying.”

However, one fan defended the boxing legend writing, “Still Floyd richer then all the people who can read.” Meanwhile, one fan remarked, “Floyd has the intelligence of a 6th grader with the Manny Pacquiao sushi comment.” The user remarked about the lack of awareness shown by Mayweather in his statement.
